Had a great week off from school and now only eight weeks left. My week had a pretty good balance of fun activities and bathroom remodel tasks.
Had brunch with Jessica on day, got lunch with Donny another day, got a pedicure, had some Starbucks, used a birthday gift card for facial, got my hair cut, got some boba tea, got a massage at the spa (birthday gift redeemed), went swimming, painted the bathroom walls and ceiling (which was many days of painting since it needed several coats), we got the floors totally finished and tore down the shower tile.
And our bathroom looks nothing like this….
I had a fabulous spring break…the snow changed some plans but there was plenty of relaxing and hanging out with friends and family. On Wednesday, we got 16 inches of snow which closed many major highways, lot of roads and the Denver Airport. My parents were supposed to fly out on Wednesday to Nashville and weren’t able to and instead helped Theresa with some remodeling.
Catching up on YouTube and enjoying some delicious breakfast. Relaxing.
Going on a walk to enjoy the somewhat warm weather before the snow.
The snow storm caused lots of tree branches to fall and the Jeep almost go hit.
We measured 12 inches on our picnic table.
Dad’s truck burred in snow.
Dad shoveling snow.
There was so much snow on our patio
Donny and Dad helped with some remodeling. The ceiling getting put back together…the kitchen had a drop ceiling that needed to be taken down. The whole thing couldn’t be removed because of pipes and electric in the ceiling. Theresa came up with this idea of the small portion of drop ceiling that is curved.
They also found some unused/empty space next to the pantry and of course have to make it bigger.
Mom, Dad, and I went on the Celestial Seasonings tour.
We also went and toured Stages, did some shopping, and ate delicious food. Not the sunny warm spring break that I would loved but still great. Only 9 weeks of school left.
Finished the last couple pages of my spring break mini book this past weekend and thought that I would share it with you. My mom came to visit during spring break (it was here break too) and we took pictures with out instax mini camera.
I used brown paper bags as the base for the book and bound it by hole punching the middle and using twine to hold it together.
For supplies I used what I had in my stash along with left over bits from my This Life Noted Scraptastic kits.
Had dinner over at a friends house and played some scattergories!
Hung out with Zoe for an afternoon and we ventured off to Starbucks to try the limited time Happy Birthday Frappuccino and enjoy some croissants. Zoe loved the frappuccino and I thought it was a bit sweet.
Had a great time while Mom was here during spring break! We made a lot of cards and had fun making a mini book out of paper sacks to document all the things we did.
